Tony and Alicia Varela
Tony and his family moved to Tijuana in the Fall of 1994 to pastor a faltering church called Iglesia Evangelica Ebenezer (Evangelical Ebenezer Church. See 1 Sam 7:12) which is located South East of Tijuana in "Colonia Nido de las Aguilas" (Eagles Nest Colony). They have two children: Jonathan and Alison.
Tony also directs and teaches at YUGO's Grace Bible Institute (Instituto Biblico de la Gracia) in Rosarito. Alicia teaches the women at Ebenezer Evangelical Church. Tony's focus is to preach the gospel and teach God's Word in the local church, where God will raise leaders, who by the grace of God will become pastors, and where God will span His glory not only in the country of Mexico, but in all the countries of the world. (Read Acts 11:19-30 and 13:1-3)
By the grace of God they have established one church in San Quintin, they pray that God will raise godly men who are willing to be obedient to go deeper into Mexico.
