Dear Partners in Missions,

Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is our Good Shepherd that lays down His live for His sheep. (John 10:11)

EBENEZER BIBLE CHURCH:

Our Lord Jesus Christ is blessing our church with new people coming to hear God’s Word. I continue to preach from the Book of Galatians on Justification of the believer and I am teaching on Book of Colossians. At this time I am on chapter one verse 22. I also continue to train Fernando and Ismael for ministry and by next month I will be training a couple of more men for the ministry of deaconship in our church. Alicia has been teaching the women at the church every Thursday afternoon, she is doing an overview of the books of the Bible and also discipleship training with other women from church. Please continue to pray for Mauricio, he was the Elder in our church, but I asked to step down from ministry because of marital problems and since then he has gone deeper into sin and has not been coming to church since last May of 2006. His wife, Marcela and her children (Yamilet, Mical and Caleb) are coming to church and my wife and I have prayed with Marcela, but Mauricio does not want anything to do with God. Thank you for praying for him.

GRACE BIBLE INSTITUTE:

We have started the classes at the Bible Institute we have 9 students, 8 returning students and one new student that is coming from Ensenada and we have 3 people that came from San Quintin and the rest are from the local area of Tijuana and Rosarito. I am the only teacher this trimester, and I am teaching Christology and Christian Education. We have a computer lab at Grace Bible Institute and Fernando, our church intern, is helping me teach some of the students on how to use a computer. If you have an old computer that you want to get rid of please let me know, because Fernando is very technical about fixing computers. I have included some photos from the students that have come this trimester that way you can pray for them and for their ministry. I want to thank Cornerstone Community Church of Atascadero for helping me getting a new laptop computer for my ministry at the Bible Institute. I use the computer program Power Point to teach my classes and is very effective with the students I also use it when I travel to prepare for my classes. I would like to thank each one of you that has been praying for the Bible Institute, the students and also please pray that our Lord will provide us with teachers who are willing to come down and teach to the students. It does not matter if you do not know Spanish, I can interpret for you, but it does matter that you know the Bible well. Please contact me if you are interested.

MINISTRY IN SAN QUINTIN:

God is blessing the work that Pastor Pablo is doing down South in San Quintin. God has opened the door to minister to some Mixteco Indians that are about 20 minutes South of San Quintin. We have 4 students that are coming to the Bible Institute and we are hoping that our Lord will bring even more of them. Please continue to pray for the ministry that Pastor Pablo is doing. God has granted him a Religious Visa to enter the USA and next week he and I will be traveling to the Bay Area (to pleasant Hill California) to a mission’s conference at Grace Bible Church. He was hopping to go to the Shepard’s Conference, but there are all full and there is no more room, we pray that next year he will be able to go.

VARELA FAMILY:

Alicia is getting ready to make a trip to her home town of Mansanillo Colima Mexico in the first week of February. She will be making this trip with her mother and they plan to evangelize her relatives down there. I continue to have back problems; I have problems standing or sitting for a long periods of time. Please help me pray as I ask our Lord’s direction on this. Alison and Jonathan are doing well working at Sea World.

Thank you for all your prayers and financial support to our ministry here in Mexico. We thank God for each one of you every day, your continue faithfulness to this ministry is very encouraging to each one of us. Thank you for helping me to proclaim the gospel in Mexico. May God Bless you and guide you always to His perfect will.

THINGS TO PRAY FOR:

  1. That our Lord will bring more people to the church at Eagles Nest

  2. That our Lord will bring back Mauricio to Himself and the He will give peace to Marcela and their children.

  3. The students at the Bible Institute and that our Lord will bring more teachers down here to teach.

  4. For the ministry growth in San Quintin and for Pastor Pablo’s financial support.

  5. For Alicia’s trip to Mansanillo, that God will use her and her mother as they proclaim the gospel.

  6. For my lower back and the pain that goes to my left leg, please pray that God will give strength as I minister His Word to His People here in Mexico.

Dear Partners In Mission;

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, Just has He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”

In the verses above of Ephesians 1:3-7 tells us that we’re so bless by our Lord and Savior in so many ways that we can’t even imagine. Above all blessings, we cannot compare the blessing of being part of God’s family, having all of our sins forgiven and the condemnation of our souls removed, and been able to call God “Abba Father” (Our Daddy) is something without comparison.

It is so wonderful to know that the reason why Jesus came to the world was to save those who were lost. As we proclaim this message, please pray that many people would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and receive forgiveness of their sins so they can also enjoy the most wonderful gift of all; Eternal life. We praise God for your partnership with our ministry here in Tijuana, Mexico and thank you for your prayers and financial support. We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will continue to bless you abundantly and guide you to His perfect will.

Have a very blessed Christmas in the company of all your loved ones and a safe happy New Year 2007.

Dear Partners in Missions,

We thank God for His grace, mercy, love and the many, many great blessings that He has given us during this past year here in Mexico. We thank God for each one of you, because every one of you is a great blessing to each one of us down here in Tijuana Mexico; Our Lord Jesus Christ has used each of you, in one way or another, to be a blessing in our lives, and we are very thankful and appreciative for each one of you.

As we face this coming year we are challenged by our Lord’s Words as He commands us to “Go and make disciples of all the nations” (Mathew 28:19). We can look forward to God’s strength upon our lives and ministry, just like He was with us this past year. we can trust that our Lord will be with us this year as well. I would like to add that as we reach the Lost and disciple the believers in His Word and as we equip them for ministry and send them wherever God opens doors, I would ask of you to please keep standing along side of us as we minister our Lord’s gospel with your prayers and financial support. Each one of us plays an important part of this ministry. First, as you lift us up in prayer and as you give of your financial resources, God will be glorified in your lives. And second, as we minister His gospel and His powerful Word down here in Mexico, we will depend on Him for His power and Mercy to move in the hearts of the Mexican people. Therefore, as we join together in ministry we will see Him lifted up high as He brings the lost to Himself. Thanks for your partnership in this ministry here in Mexico, and I pray that our Lord continues to richly bless you as you pray and give for this ministry.

Alicia is doing well. She just got back from a trip that she made with her sister and mother to visit their relatives that live in Manzanillo Colima Mexico. Our Lord gave her the opportunity to share the gospel to her relatives and she wishes to return and do some more ministry down there. Alison is going to school in Chula Vista and wants to get in at the Masters College. We are praying for our Lord’s will for her to go there as He provides for the finances. Jonathan is also going to school at ATT Technical School in San Diego and is working part time at Sea World. He was working there seasonally, but now his status has changed to part time and he gets a little more money for his personal expenses which is a big help for us.

I continue to minister God’s Word every Sunday and teach at the Bible Institute. At this time we have five new students and we are happy that we have a new teacher as well whose name is David Looney.

Thank you for all your prayers and financial support to our ministry here in Mexico. We thank God for each one of you every day, your continued faithfulness to this ministiy is very encouraging to each one of us. Thank you for helping me to proclaim the gospel in Mexico. May God Bless you and guide you always to His perfect will.
