Our Purpose

Consistent with the mission of CBC as a whole, the women’s ministry seeks to exalt Christ by making disciples (Matt 28:18-20). We do this primarily by training women in the biblical principles and practices of womanhood so that they will know how to carry out their God-given role in the home, the church, and the community (Titus 2:3-5, 1 Tim 5:9-10).

We do this specifically by walking alongside women to encourage them to mature in 3 key areas:

• Character: that women would cultivate godly character and a life consistent with God’s Word.
• Conviction: that women would grow in their knowledge of God and understanding of the Bible.
• Competence: that women would take opportunities to use their abilities and spiritual gifts to serve and love others.

Our Ministries

We are firmly committed to weaving the principles of biblical womanhood throughout the 3 branches of our women’s ministry, which are as follows:

Women’s Mentoring Groups

A ministry where women (18 & up) are encouraged and equipped to grow in Christ-likeness through the study of God’s Word, fellowship, and opportunities to cultivate a heart of service.

The Mother’s Club

A ministry for moms with preschool age children (infant through Kindergarten) as well as expectant moms that provides instruction, mentoring, and fellowship.

Special Events

The Women’s Ministry team regularly holds special events throughout the year. These events provide wonderful opportunities for evangelism and fellowship. Watch the website for details on upcoming events.

We do this specifically by walking alongside women to encourage them to grow in character until they are conformed to Christ’s image, in conviction through the knowledge of truth, and in competence by having opportunities to use their talents and spiritual gifts to serve and love others, all to the glory of God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

How to Sign Up

We invite you to join us as we study His precious Word together and fellowship with one another. If you find a group you’d like to be a part of, please contact the group leader.

Who

This ministry is for moms with preschool age children (infant through Kindergarten) as well as expectant moms.

What

The foundation of this ministry is the mandate given in Titus 2:3-5.

• Older women are to teach and encourage the younger women in the various areas of their lives; in their role as a believer in Jesus Christ and how that directly affects their role of wife, other and homemaker.
• Our goal is to see these moms of preschoolers develop and mature, both spiritually and practically, so that “the word of God will not be dishonored” in their lives.
• These meetings for moms are structured with Bible teaching, a skill mentoring activity or demonstration, and a discussion/prayer group. Additionally, at the end of the year, we have a park day where moms and kids can all join in for fun and fellowship.
