Worship

Preaching & Music

At CBC we hold the preaching of God’s Word in high regard. The type of preaching you will typically hear is expository (verse by verse) Bible teaching. Occasionally we will do topical teaching as well. Morning sermons are typically 50-55 minutes in length, while evening service sermons range between 20-45 minutes in length.

At CBC we love to sing praises to our great God. The music we play typically comes from either traditional hymns, or contemporary hymns and spiritual songs from evangelical reformed publishers such as Sovereign Grace Music, The Gettys, and City Alight.

Getting connected

Home Groups

We meet in various homes on weeknights around Vallejo, American Canyon, Fairfield, and Benicia to foster deeper Christian fellowship, and to practice the “one anothers.” See a list of current groups here.

Helping others with

Special Needs

We have a few options to help those with special needs:

  • Wheelchair ramp to the main Worship Center.
  • In-ear systems for the hearing impaired.
  • Closed Captioning for live stream (created post-service by Facebook and/or YouTube).
  • If you have a child who has a difficult time sitting quietly through service, we have alternative locations to help train them through this process.
Practicing the

Ordinances

We practice two ordinances regularly: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). Baptisms occur 1-3 times per year, while Communion is taken once a month. For communion we use regular grape juice and a gluten-free wafer, distributed in a contact-free manner.
