Ed & Susan Caguin
In April 2015, Ed and his brother Raul Caguin inaugurated a church plant of Community Bible Church (CBC) of Vallejo on the outskirts of Metro Manila. Community Bible Church of Marikina is now a growing body of more than 100 adults and children doing outreach ministries all week amidst a community suffering from many social sins. As a result of CBCM’s outreach ministries, The Disciples of Jesus Christ Church (DJCC) in Tumana, Marikina was inaugurated in January 2017. Currently, DJCC’s manifold ministries are:
- Adult/Children’s Sunday School
- Women’s Bible Study
- Adult/Youth Discipleship
- Youth Basketball Ministry
- Mobile Home Bible Study
- Ongoing Feeding Program
- Children’s Bible Study
- Gift Giving Program
Ed and his wife Susan have a deep resolve to share the gospel specifically to the social outcasts, the broken-hearted like those victims of human trafficking, the orphans and the street families of the people of the eastern region of Metro Manila, and hopefully throughout the Philippine Islands. The Caguins are helping to develop a gospel-centered ministry to provide disadvantaged women a means to start anew, hopefully not only for this life but also in the life to come. Their approach to this ministry involves not only rescuing the victims in their predicament, but developing partnerships among church leaders and local government units (LGUs), to provide the training and development of these social outcasts towards becoming useful citizens of the community, even as they are spiritually transformed by the preaching of His Word. Ed and Susan have two married sons and four grandchildren.
